Rush is another name for recruitment in the Greek Community. Fraternities conduct rush during the first week of classes in the Fall and in the Spring. Rush consists of a week’s worth of openly invited events and activities planned by a fraternity so that prospective members can meet members of a house. Typically, rush begins with an on-campus information session, two days of house tours, continues with planned events, followed by Blue Chip dinner, and then Bid Night.
